Behavior

• Calm, slow-moving species that is easy to care for.

Enclosure Requirements

Compatibility

• Social species; can be kept in small groups.

• Avoid housing with predatory insects or animals that may harm millipedes.

Diet

• Detritivorous; feeds on decaying organic material:

  • Leaf litter

  • Decaying wood

  • Soft fruits and vegetables (banana, cucumber, apple)

• Provide calcium source such as cuttlebone or crushed eggshell.

• Remove spoiled food regularly to prevent mold.
