Distinctive Appearance: A selectively bred orange morph of Oryzias latipes, showing a bright golden-orange body that can range from pale apricot to deep tangerine depending on lighting and diet. Their small, streamlined shape and subtle reflective scales give them a clean, glowing appearance in planted aquariums.
Graceful Swimmer: An active mid-to-upper level swimmer that moves in loose groups with quick, darting motions. They often explore the entire tank but spend much of their time near the surface.
Behavior: Extremely peaceful, hardy, and social. They are one of the more adaptable small aquarium fish and do well in a wide range of conditions.

Tank Conditions:
Very adaptable and suitable for both aquariums and outdoor tubs in warm seasons. Ideal temperature is 68–80°F (20–27°C). Prefers clean, well-oxygenated water with plants for cover and spawning. Tolerates a wider range of pH and hardness than many tropical fish, though stability is still important.

Diet:
Omnivorous. Eats high-quality flakes, micro pellets, and small live or frozen foods such as daphnia, brine shrimp, and insect larvae. A varied diet helps maintain strong coloration and breeding condition.

Compatibility:
Very peaceful and ideal for community tanks with other non-aggressive species such as small tetras, rasboras, shrimp, and snails. Best kept in groups of at least 6 to encourage natural schooling and reduce shyness.
