Behaviour
Cardinal Tetras are active, peaceful schooling fish that should be kept in groups of at least six, although larger groups of ten or more will display more natural behaviour and create a spectacular display. They occupy the middle levels of the aquarium and feel most secure in well-planted tanks.

Minimum Tank Size: 60 litres
A planted aquarium with open swimming areas, subdued lighting and dark substrate helps bring out their vibrant colours. Gentle filtration and stable water conditions are ideal.
